Q: Who is Kindred Games?

A: Kindred Games is a husband and wife team. Michael (AKA Kindred) wanted a game that him and his wife would enjoy together. It was tough finding the right game, so he decided to create it instead. After a few years, his wife (Janna) quit her job and the two have been working full time making games together.

Q: Are you going to be working on more projects?

A: Swords ‘n Magic is our main priority right now. That doesn’t mean the ideas aren’t there and the urge to work on something new goes away. We have made a few game jam games in our spare time.

Q: How long have you been working on Swords ‘n Magic and Stuff?

A: Michael started development on the game with zero plans or UE4 experience on October 5th, 2017. This is when Kindred Games came to life (although unnamed at the time). It’s gone from a solo project to a good sized team project.

Q: How can I help?

A: Tell everyone about the game! Share my stream or my YouTube videos on Reddit or social media. Invite friends and join us in the livestream on Twitch to pitch ideas and leave feedback. There are many great ways to help grow this game and help it become a success that don’t involve programming, art or donations. I appreciate any and all your support!

Q: What engine/software do you use?

A: Michael uses Blueprints in Unreal Engine, Autodesk Maya for 3D modeling, Adobe Illustrator for 2D textures and Affinity Designer for 2D UI art.
